Branding
Brand identity designer
for businesses that refuse
to look like everyone else.
A logo is not a brand. A brand is the system that makes people recognise you, trust you, and remember you. We design complete brand identities — from the mark itself to the rules that govern every touchpoint. Strategy included, not sold separately.
Brand Identity
Every element designed with intent.
Nothing left to chance.
We design brand identities that work across every context — screen, print, signage, packaging, social. Every element is built as part of a system, not as a standalone graphic. The logo works at 16 pixels and on a billboard. The colour palette has contrast ratios that pass accessibility checks. The typography scales from body text to headlines.
Before we touch Illustrator, we study your market, your competitors, and your audience. We identify the visual territory your brand should own — the space that is distinctive, defensible, and aligned with where your business is going. This is brand strategy, and it is included in every project.
Logo Design
Primary mark, wordmark, icon, and monogram — designed as a flexible system. Every variation tested across dark, light, and photographic backgrounds at multiple sizes.
Colour System
Primary and secondary palettes with HEX, RGB, CMYK, and Pantone values. Contrast-tested for accessibility. Dark mode variants if your brand lives digital.
Typography
Primary and secondary typefaces selected for versatility and personality. Type scale, weight hierarchy, and pairing rules documented for consistent use.
Brand Guidelines
A comprehensive document covering logo usage, spacing rules, colour application, typography, do's and don'ts, and real-world mockups. Your team's single source of truth for every visual decision.
Brand Collateral
Business cards, letterheads, email signatures, social media templates, presentation decks — designed and delivered as editable files your team can use.
Brand Strategy
Competitive analysis, audience positioning, visual territory mapping, and tone of voice direction. Included in every project — because design without strategy is just decoration.
How a branding project moves
Discover
What we do
We study your business, your market, your competitors, and your audience. We identify what makes you different and what visual territory is available for your brand to own. This is not a questionnaire — it is a deep conversation about where your business is going and how it should be perceived.
What we need from you
Honesty about your business. Brands you admire (and brands you hate). Your ambitions, your audience, and any existing materials you have — even if you do not like them. Everything is useful context.
Deliverables
Brand brief, competitive landscape analysis, visual territory map, and a strategic direction document that guides every design decision that follows.
Define
What we do
We translate strategy into visual direction. Moodboards, colour explorations, typographic studies, and initial logo concepts. You see 2–3 distinct directions, each grounded in the strategy from the Discovery phase. No random options — every direction has a rationale you can evaluate.
What we need from you
Clear feedback on what resonates and what does not. This is the point where your instinct matters — but we will challenge you if your preference conflicts with the strategy. That is what you are paying us for.
Deliverables
2–3 concept directions with moodboards, initial logo sketches, colour palettes, and typographic pairings. Annotated with strategic reasoning for each direction.
Design
What we do
The chosen direction is developed into a complete identity system. Logo in all variants (primary, secondary, icon, monogram), full colour system with accessibility checks, typography scale, and mockups showing the brand in real-world contexts — business cards, website, signage, social media.
What we need from you
Approval of the chosen direction before we invest full design time. Any specific applications you need (packaging, uniforms, vehicle wraps) should be mentioned now so we design with those contexts in mind.
Deliverables
Complete identity system: logo suite, colour system, typography, iconography, and high-fidelity mockups across key brand touchpoints.
Refine
What we do
Detail work. We fine-tune spacing, proportions, kerning, colour balance, and test the identity across every application. If something does not work at 16 pixels on a favicon or at 3 metres on a shop front — we catch it here and fix it.
What we need from you
Final round of feedback. If there are stakeholders who need to approve the identity, this is when they see it. We present the work with full context so decision-makers understand the reasoning, not just the aesthetics.
Deliverables
Refined identity with all adjustments implemented. Final mockups, ready for sign-off before we build the guidelines document.
Deliver
What we do
We build and deliver the complete brand guidelines document, export all logo files in every format (SVG, PNG, EPS, PDF), prepare brand collateral templates, and hand over everything organised and labelled. You walk away with a brand system you can use immediately and maintain independently.
What we need from you
Confirmation of all collateral items needed (business cards, letterheads, social templates, etc.) and any print specifications from your suppliers if applicable.
Deliverables
Brand guidelines PDF, complete logo file package, colour and typography specifications, brand collateral templates (editable), and a walkthrough session explaining how to use everything.

Case Study
A brand identity built from zero.
Applied across every touchpoint.
1st-IT Brand Identity
1st-IT LTD — Managed Service Provider, London
A complete brand identity designed from scratch for a London-based Managed Service Provider. Logo, colour system, typography, mascot, guidelines — and then applied consistently across a public website, a client portal serving over 1,000 users, and all business collateral. One brand system, zero inconsistencies.
The challenge
1st-IT had no cohesive brand. The company had grown over the years with a patchwork of visual elements — mismatched colours across documents, inconsistent logo usage, no defined typography, and a website that looked nothing like their internal tools. The brand did not reflect the quality of the service they delivered. Clients saw a different visual identity at every touchpoint — the website said one thing, the emails said another, and the portal said nothing at all.
What we built — from the ground up
Logo System
A custom logomark built around the number "1" — the core of the company name. The mark works as a standalone icon at small sizes (favicons, app icons, avatar circles) and pairs with the full "1st-IT Limited" wordmark for formal applications. Every variant was tested across dark backgrounds, light backgrounds, and photographic contexts. The logo is not just a graphic — it is a flexible system with clear rules for every context.
Colour System
A primary palette built around #3CBADC — a confident teal that signals technology without the coldness of pure blue. Paired with #6366F1 (indigo) as an accent for interactive elements and data visualisation. A full 9-step grayscale from #F8F9FA to #212529 provides the structural backbone. Four status colours (success, warning, error, info) complete the system — every colour has a defined role, nothing is arbitrary.
Typography
We selected Lufga as the primary typeface — a geometric sans-serif with enough personality to feel distinctive but enough neutrality to work across technical documentation, marketing materials, and UI elements. Six weights deployed (Light, Regular, Italic, Medium, SemiBold, Bold) with a defined type scale for headings, body text, labels, and data. Every weight has a purpose — nothing was included "just in case."
Custom Mascot
A bespoke character designed to humanise the brand in contexts where technical content dominates. Used in onboarding screens, empty states, error pages, and loading animations across the client portal. The mascot is not a logo replacement — it is a brand asset that adds warmth and approachability to an otherwise data-heavy environment.
Applied across every touchpoint — by the same team.
Most branding projects stop at the guidelines PDF. This one did not. We designed the identity and then we built every digital product that uses it — ensuring perfect consistency without the translation loss that happens when a branding agency hands off to a separate development team.
Public Website
The 1st-it.com website was designed and built using the brand identity as its foundation. Every page, every component, every interaction follows the colour system, typography scale, and visual language defined in the brand guidelines. The site is not a template with brand colours swapped in — it was built from scratch to embody the identity.
Client Portal
A full SPA client portal serving over 1,000 users — dashboards, analytics, live chat, team performance, scheduling — all built with the same brand system. The teal primary anchors every interactive element. The Lufga type scale structures every data display. The grey palette creates visual hierarchy across complex data views.
Four UI Skins
The brand system was designed to flex. Beyond the default light theme, we created Dark Mode (#0F172A), Night Glass (#0A0E1A with glassmorphism), and Aurora Glass (#C8DAF8 with translucent layers). Each skin preserves brand recognition while adapting to user preference — the teal primary and Lufga typography remain constant across all four variants.
Business Collateral
Email signatures, internal documents, presentation templates, and report exports — all following the same guidelines. When a client receives a PDF performance report exported from the portal, it looks and feels identical to the website they visited and the portal they logged into. That consistency is not accidental — it is designed.
